C'Etait un Rendezvous - DVDFilmed in 1976, the revered short film (a heartpounding 9 minutes) by director Claude Lelouch (director of Academy Award winning "A Man and a Woman"/"Un Homme et Une Femme") is regarded as the ultimate chase scene - the connoisseurs' trump card in response to "Bullitt" or "The French Connection". The DVD also features trailers and background information about the making of the film under the heading "The Legend" "In the canon of car films, the Holy Trinity is John Frankenheimer's Grand Prix (1966), Lee H. Katzin's Le Mans (1971) with Steve McQueen, and Claude Lelouch's C'Etait un rendezvous (1976)... |
