Don Alexander

Don Alexander has been involved in cars and racing in one way or another for over 30 years.  His driving career began in 1960, with go-carts.  After a brief stint in drag racing, Don moved to sports cars and road racing, driving in such diverse classes as production cars, Formula cars, GT cars, and Trans-Am.  He has raced in several showroom stock categories including the Firestone Firehawk series, and has won endurance titles.  In a parallel driving career, Don has worked as a test driver for major tire manufacturers, for suspension companies, and for magazines. 
     Don has been teaching race driving since 1970, when he started working for Bob Bondurant.  He has operated his own high performance driving school, and was Chief Instructor for the Willow Springs International Racing School.  He has worked independently as a consultant with many drivers and schools, most recently for the EVOC Training Center of the San Bernadino County Sheriff's Department.  As an author, Don has ten books and hundreds of magazine articles to his credit.
